This incredible property was built in 1901 by the great grandfather of the current owner.  The family, at the time very important Italian entrepreneurs,  were also enthusiast racehorse breeders.

The property’s location was chosen due to the fact that the San Rossore nature reserve also contained Italy’s major racehorse training center,  located between Rome and Genova where the owner lived and had his business interests.

The San Rossore Nature Reserve is a 9000 hectare area of natural wilderness that leads to beautiful natural beaches of the area, hosting multiple varieties of birds, deer, wild boars and others species.

The 44-hectare estate is surrounded by maritime pines and holm oaks, large paddocks and stables. The Villa with its gardens and large swimming pool area is for guests’ use only.  There are seven double bedrooms for a total of 14 people included in the price.  There is also another double bedroom and a single available at an extra cost.  The villa’s staff live in a dependance located on the property.

Since the estate was built it has remained within the same family who still use it on weekends and for holidays. It is now available for short term rental for the first time ever, along with its wonderful staff who are used to hosting guests both for stays, dinners and popular luncheons by the pool.

The estate is conveniently located close to Forte dei Marmi, Pietrasanta and Lucca, with their fabulous restaurants, famous beach destinations, art galleries and wineries. For culture, Pisa with its Piazza dei Miracoli is one of the jewels of Italy, and Florence is only a one-hour drive away.
